How to Fix FSX Freezes Problem?

Check System Requirements

Make sure that your system matches with the FSX requirements. Freezing in game occurs due to system incompatibility. Here are system requirements for it:
  • 1.0 GHz CPU
  • 256 MB RAM (for Windows XP SP2) or 512 MB RAM (for Windows Vista)
  • 14 GB hard drive space (15 GB for Deluxe Version)
  • DVD drive
  • 32 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card 1024 x 720 screen resolution or higher

Update Graphic Drivers

Installation of outdated graphic drivers on your computer may result in FSX freezing. This problem may be resolved by Installing latest drivers. Follow steps stated below to install device drivers.
  • Right click on My Computer
  • Go to Properties
  • Click on Hardware tab
  • Click on Device Manager under Device Manager head

  • Uninstall the older version of NVIDIA drivers
  • Restart your PC
  • Download NVIDIA drivers 191.07 from
  • Restart your computer

Repair Registry Entries

Improper  registry configuration may also result in different problems in FSX. In order to run game smoothly on your system you have to repair Windows registry.

For registry repairing you need to download and install a System Utilities program that includes a Registry Cleaner such as PC Fresher. 


Re-Install FSX
